Great shot - somehow it reminds me of the "Phantom of the Opera". I like how the street light softly illuminates the carving on the wall.

This is good stuff. You paint with light well. To my eyes, it might provide a tighter composition and focus if you were to crop everything to the right of the pillar that's on the right side of the picture. But I do enjoy this shot.

Are those..?
Ah, nevermind, it's the lamp, it's the lamp, something I would want to illuminate myself with, while playing piano in my basement, surrounded by the wooden walls, and ivory keys.

I've never known anyone that was so in love with and could romanticize light like you do.

I miss my piano.

I wish I could tune my piano by myself,
I would love nothing more.
I gave it some thought the other day too,
I'm not happy with casual light or colors.
I change all my photos around so that they represent something other than life I guess.
I won't keep the tone the same, which leads me to think that this mentioned "style" of mine is otherworldly.
I dunno.

I thought about tuning mine once but fortunately i gave up on the idea. There's too many things that could get messed up and so expensive to fix. You'd have loved the old Dutch guy that used to tune mine. He was so fucking out there; swearing... talking to himself, singing and he chain-smoked like an old whore. He was a damned good tuner though and he taught me how to properly play Shostakovitch.

The light, I think is the reason I like nightshots. I like the way the shadows have texture at night; almost like they have substance.

Otherworldly...yes!

That sounds like one hell of a tuner, I'd like to catch a drink with the guy!
My first tuner was blind, which was neat, because he didn't use all those instruments,
but my second is a guy who insists on bringing his dog in, and using all of this high tech shit on my baby upright grandstand. It seems wrong anyway.

My guy used tuning forks. The very mention of electronic tuning set him off like a raving lunatic. Like I said he was awesome.

A wonderful shot! That lamp throws the perfect lighting on that architecture!

Thanks Lynne! There are a lot more architectural details on the building that I will be posting eventually.
